Revise your current content.  Make sure you are as descriptive as possible when compiling your content.  Think what your potential customer will be seraching for and incorporate this information in your description.  Writing a few sentences will not be adequate enough, use the space available to you and incorporate keywords and phrases related to your business or service into your description.

Always keep your information up to date.  If you are using one of Biz-Genie's paid listing packages you can supplement your listing by submitting additional content such as promotions and articles related to your business - this service is free to all paying clients.  Additional content will support your listing and provide more overall exposure.  Biz-Genie will also distribute all your  additional content via our social media channels resulting in even more exposure.

The content you submit can be anything from a graphic explaining your offer (not recommended on its own as search engines cannot read text from a graphic), a graphic combined with text (this is the most effective) or even a YouTube video file.

Your content needs to be related to your main listing and can take the form of an article about your business, service or product. A competition, promotion or special offer.  Just let your imagination go! Contact us if you need any help or advice with your content.

This feature is only available if you have one of the paid listing options.  All you need to do is to send us all the relevant info (text, artwork etc.) to info@biz-genie.com Once we have reviewed and approved your content it will be placed under the relevant category within Biz-Genie's What's On section.

The top rated content featured in the top of the home page's right sidebar is determined by user votes. When a user reads any of the content on the website they can place a vote by clicking one of 5 stars at the bottom of the content, the system will then place the top 5 within this space provided on the home page.

No, Biz-Genie provides a service where Businesses can list their details as well as promote services and products. It's not a platform for individuals looking to sell 2nd hand items.

No, the registration of an account is free. Once you have registered your account you may create multiple Free and/or Paid listings. Your Biz-Genie account will then allow you to manage, edit and update all your listings securely.

To ensure your logo displays correctly on your listing you will need to upload your logo as the 1st image when uploading multiple images during the listing creation process. For best results we recommend images with square dimensions of at least 300 pixels x 300 pixels.

If you receive an error notification at the top of your screen after uploading your images you can follow these steps to fix the problem.

• Go back to your "My Account" page
• Click on the "My Listings" tab
• Find your listing under the "Published Listings" or "Pending Approval" tab
• Click on your listing to open it
• Click on the "Edit" button at the top of the page
• Scroll down to the uploaded images, delete the problem image
• Re-upload the image

If you don't find a Service Category which suits your business listing you can contact us and we will consider to add it to the directory. Once we have approved your request we will add your listing to the newly created service category.

The Message Centre is available to all registered users and allows you to send private messages to other users registered on Biz-Genie.com The Message Centre is also the area where you will find all messages sent via your listings contact form. This is in an effort to minimize your business email address being used by people to send you SPAM messages. Please note that Biz-Genie.com will always send you an email when someone submitted the contact form via your listing while the original message will be saved in your Message Centre's inbox.

The Featured Listing is part of our 12 month Featured Listing Package and will give your listing more exposure than any of our other packages.

• Your listing will always be highlighted in search results
• Your listing will always be at the top of search results
• Your listing will be included on home page the "Featured Listings" section on a rotational basis
• Your listing will be included on the home page slider on a rotational basis

For best results we recommend you use graphic files with square dimensions.  The system will scale the graphics down to fit within the various areas of the website.  We recommend JPEG files with dimensions of at least 300 pixels x 300 pixels and above.

Yes, you can update your content as many times as you want during your selected listing period.

Yes, you can upgrade to a higher package at any stage during your selected listing period. Once you upgrade to a higher package you will only be charged for the difference between your current and upgraded package i.e. Upgrading from the 3 month Package which costs R 175 to the 12 Month Package which costs R 500 you will be billed R 325.

Biz-Genie accepts online payment via our PayFast Payment Gateway. Our Payfast Payment Gateway will give you the option to Pay via Bank Transfer of Credit Card.  Listings are made live once proof of payment is received.
